Lace up your shoes to get started or grab your calendar to schedule the unforgettable Georgia State Parks GeoTour!
Whether you are a seasoned geocaching pro or a beginning cacher looking for a family outing, there is so much to choose from. Visit Fort Mountain and watch the colorful sunset from the West Overlook. Walk the stairs at Tallulah Gorge and see five stunning waterfalls on your excursion. Cacher bbatch6 said that “it’s a wonderful spot for a cache,” and we have to agree. You can even spend the night with your family in a Yurt on the water at Fort Yargo. If the wildlife of Georgia peaks your curiosity, take a boat tour at Stephen C. Foster State Park and learn about the fascinating ecology. Perhaps you’ll see an alligator!
While caching your way across Georgia, be sure to not miss the tallest State Park at Black Rock Mountain. There you can find GC93XZF. If geology is your passion, you’ll want to see the marble mine when searching for GC9447H at James H. Floyd State Park. From marble to mountaintops, you’ll be amazed.
Bring a pen with you and take your time, because there is so much to see and do at every State Park. The Georgia State Parks GeoTour GTF has four regions. When you’re finished with a region, email a picture of your GeoTour passport to ParksRFun@dnr.ga.gov and you’ll receive a trackable coin in the mail that corresponds to the region you have completed!
